As the industry starts to move forward from COVID restrictions, the Scoliosis Research Society is pleased to host the first International Meeting on Advanced Spine Techniques (IMAST) in-person after a two year virtual hiatus.
IMAST is a scientific forum for leading spine surgeons, innovative researchers, and the most advanced spine technologies from around the world to come together to demonstrate recent advances in spine surgery.
Attendees also take part in educational content including didactic presentations, papers on current research, e-posters, case discussions, debates, instructional course lectures, and video demonstrations all lead by a multidisciplinary and international faculty
“In just a few short weeks IMAST will be back in person, for the first time in two years, April 6-9 in Miami, FL,” said SRS President Chris Shaffrey, MD. “We have put together an exceptional program that is not to be missed. My personal ‘must see’ session list includes Whitecloud Award Nominees; Enabling Technologies in Spine Surgery: The Evolution of Spine Surgery and Neurological Concerns in Spinal Deformity from the SRS-AANS Task Force.”
IMAST includes both live and self-paced enduring material and focuses on innovative and new methods/techniques for spinal pathology.
According to IMAST committee chair Ahmet Alanay, MD, “At this meeting, all the innovations you are curious about -- as non-fusion scoliosis surgery (VBT), surgical treatment of sacroiliac pain, the current status of minimally invasive spinal surgery, patient optimization and the use of artificial intelligence, new approaches for the treatment of spinal tumor and trauma, as well as cervical deformity problems and surgical solutions in children and adults -- will be discussed in detail.”
To best reach the global audience, this year’s meeting will also feature a virtual option – making it the first-ever hybrid IMAST meeting.
