Copenhagen City Tour and Porcelain Outlet Visit

This panoramic tour takes participants through the heart of the city, passing Tivoli Gardens, the Town Hall Square, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, the National Museum and over the canal passing Christiansborg Palace, the home of the Danish Parliament. Continue on past the world‘s oldest Royal Stock Exchange and the Naval Church. Arriving at Kongens Nytorv, the home of the Royal Danish Ballet is to the right, and “Strøget”, the famous pedestrian street, is to the left.
Continue along Nyhavn, which was noisy taverns, and tattoo parlors for the sailors in the old days, but now equally noisy outdoor cafes and trendy restaurants, very popular with tourists and Danes alike. Continue on past Amalienborg Palace and on to the Little Mermaid where there is a photo stop. Back in the coach and on to Rosenborg Castle, where such treasures as the Queen’s Jewels and the Crown Regalia are to be found.
Following the City Tour will be a visit to the Royal Scandinavia Porcelain Factory with an opportunity to view world famous porcelain being painted and a short introduction to the craft of making porcelain.  The tasteful and stylish Outlet accommodates Royal Copenhagen’s high standards by presenting their quality products with a sure touch.


City Tour by Kayak

Participants start out from Gammel Strand (the Old Beach) and sail through the Copenhagen inner harbor. In the early Middle Ages, it was Gammel Strand that has probably been the beach where the fishermen landed their catch.  Gammel Strand is very popular and is one of the sunniest spots in Copenhagen. At Christianshavn we will made a drink stop.All participants will wear a headlamp and will glide through the dark and poetic canals.

It is a must for every tourist! Spend a day in surroundings of scenic beauty and take in a little of the cultural history of everyday life as it used to be at the time of Hans Christian Andersen - most of the houses appears as in the 19th century, when the famous Danish writer wrote his fairytales The Open Air Museum north of Copenhagen is one of the largest and oldest in the world. Spread across 86 acres of land today the museum houses more than 50 farms, mills and houses from the period 1650-1950. Virtually every region in Denmark and the Faeroe Islands, as well as the former Danish provinces of southern Sweden and northern Germany is represented so at the Open Air Museum participants can travel the length and breadth of Denmark in a single afternoon -just a stone's throw from Copenhagen centre. The Open Air Museum was founded in 1897 and moved to Sorgenfri north of Kongens Lyngby in 1901. All buildings were transferred from their original sites to the museum. The adjacent land of each building has been made into gardens or reshaped in order to show the distinct character of the original surrounding in the various parts of the country with running streams, open landscapes or stretches of barren heath.

Tivoli Garden was founded in 1843 and has been in the amusement park business for 160 years.  Tivoli with its unique world-famous location in the center of Copenhagen has something for everyone – whether it is pure fun and entertainment, an artistic event or simply first-class fining.  Just when entering Tivoli, it’s like entering another world away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis, with a multitudes of pretty flowers and thousands of tiny lighters are reflected in the water of the lake and fountains.
